I just received an e-mail from the Assistant Dean of Admissions at Cincinnati. I was not accepted.

I e-mailed him back asking for specific recommendations on how to improve my application. I will be re-applying to Cincinnati and to various other schools in the fall, and rejection will not be an option then.

Sorry to hear that. From what I've read, it sounds like you've learned things through the process, and it will make you a stronger candidate in the fall.

Rejection will be, as it always has been, a possibility. However, you are nearly up to speed now and the probability of rejection is greatly decreased.

Oh, rejection may be a possibility, but it simply won't be an option.

Too many people make plans only for desirable outcomes.
