I have gone through what I believe to be my entire book collection searching for my copy of Tolstoy's The Death of Ivan Ilyich, which is our next book club selection. Alas, I did not find it and will have to buy a new copy.

I did, however, find duplicates of a few books. When I go to used library book sales, where I can get used books for a pittance, I buy up anything that looks like something I might want to read at some point. Since I am a slow reader, though, only a few of these titles get read, and I often forget I already have some of these. Thus, the duplicates. I already gave away my duplicates of Lewis' Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters. I anybody wants my duplicate of D. H. Lawrence's Women in Love, Frank Herbert's Dune, or Jean M. Auel's The Clan of the Cave Bear, post a comment here to let me know. First come, first served.

You can borrow my copy of the Tolstoy. It's certainly not on my summer reading list1, so I won't be reading it anytime soon.

[1] and neither is kafka, wharton, or lessing. i'm all in a fluffernutter mood.

Thanks. I'll take you up on that.

I didn't want anything as heavy as the Tolstoy. I was hoping for a nice sci-fi read. Alas, I was outvoted.
