I don't want to use Evite, despite its convenience, to send mass invites because Evite sells e-mail addresses to spammers. I remember some months ago someone on my flist had suggested an alternative (besides coding my own site, that is). Can someone jog my memory? If I can't remember, I will simply have to use Evite.

Amendment: Since both of the first two responses jumped on my careless use of the phrase "have to," rather than helping me jog my memory regarding that other site that accomplishes much the same thing as Evite without selling names, let me assure you that I won't be using Evite. <sigh>

Nobody "has to" use Evite. "I wanted you to come to my party, so I gave your e-mail address to spammers" doesn't make much sense.

While I agree that there are features of Evite that you don't get with, say, simply sending email, I don't believe that really means you *have* to us Evite (or another feature-filled program), if the important thing is to get your invitation out to people.

The important things isn't getting the invitation out so much as it is keeping track of who will attend so that we have neither too much nor too little food and drink.
