Finally wake up -- if you can call it that -- this morning about 40 minutes after my alarm, but still well within the buffer zone I calculate when setting up my alarms. I feel extremely sleepy, like I always do when the air pressure is low. The light filtering through my shades is gray and uninviting. I think I hear raindrops.

I walk to the kitchen to pour myself some cereal. I know I don't have to tell you how ill-prepared and unreceptive I am to what I see through the windows. There's a veritable blizzard of white fluff coming down.
