I figured I'd see if they had a copy of our next book club selection, Elizabeth Moon's The Speed of Dark. Problem is, I also took a look to see if they had copies of other things, including things I'd never heard of before. I really should be banned from entering bookstores!
In addition to The Speed of Dark (which, incidentally, was the last book I found), I picked up the following: Saint Thomas Aquinas, by G.K. Chesterton; The Life You Save May Be Your Own: An American Pilgrimage, by Paul Elie (biography and literary criticism of four influential Catholic American writers, Thomas Merton, Dorothy Day, Flannery O'Connor, and Walker Percy); American Gods, by Neil Gaiman; Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, by Philip K. Dick (it would have been this month's book club selection if I had actually voted for it this time around, like I usually do); and Bringing Down the House, by Ben Mezrich.
I'm looking forward to quitting my job and becoming a hermit so that I can get all these books I own read.
