For those who are interested, my next rugby game is this Saturday. We (Charles River Rugby Football Club, a.k.a. The Rats) play Boston Rugby Football Club. BRFC belongs to the Rugby Super League, which means they are really, really good. So good, in fact, that our A side will be playing their B side. Our B side will be playing their C side, which is their Old Boys side. That means I'll be playing against a bunch of wizened old farts, but they'll be really good and know how to cheat and get away with it. It'll be a tough game for us. (There's a slight possibility that I may be thrust up to A side as well, since our A-side hooker won't be there. Either the A-side loose-head prop will slide to hooker and I'll move up to A-side loose-head prop, or our B-side hooker will slide up to A-side hooker.)
The B-side game is at 11 a.m. at Franklin Park. The A-side game is at 12. Directions can be found here. Aside from a game on the South Shore next week, this is our only Boston-area game until May 21, so I hope to see a few of you out there.
