It's official. I've lost my copy of Annie Proulx's Close Range: Wyoming Stories. I took it to rehearsal on Sunday, and that's the last time I remember seeing it. I don't recall if I left it there or brought it back with me, but it's not in the theater, it's not in my truck, and it's not at home.

Alas, I really wanted to read this before I saw Brokeback Mountain, but I don't think that's going to happen now. I can't afford to buy another copy, and I don't own a library card. (I think I've lost my privileges at the BU library.) <sigh> I was halfway through and enjoying the stories thoroughly. I don't suppose you have a copy you'd be willing to lend me for a few days?

The boston and cambridge libraries are free... and I don't think it took me more than 10 minutes to get a card at either. The Boston Public Library in Back Bay is of course huge, and should definitely have the book (Not to mention that the government annex is a work of architectural art and should be checked out if you've never been there).
