So why do so many people think Kerry is electable? I think of the original 10 candidates, 5 had a viable chance of beating Bush (Dean, Clark, Edwards, Gephardt, Graham) and 5 stood no chance in hell (Kerry, Lieberman (too much like Bush to beat Bush), Sharpton, Kucinich, Moseley Braun). I will vote for any of the Democrats over $hrub, though I have my stated preference for Dean. The Republicans will eat Kerry alive. I can take solace, though, that despite Kerry's impressive showing in Iowa, the Iowa winner rarely gets the nomination.
If the nominee is not Dean, I hope it's Edwards. But I hope it doesn't come to that.
