Sitting around at treacle_well's place Sunday afternoon, I was kicking Bri's ass at Cities & Knights. In a moment of frustration, he said to me, "Well, at least I'm better than you at most sports." Which he is...but I was quick to point out that so are most people. Nonetheless, I responded, "You just wait, I'm going to kick your ass at hoops tomorrow!"

And you know what -- I did!

We showed up at the Tufts courts hoping to run the courts with a little 5-on-5 action, but very few guys were out there. Bri and I shot around a little before we decided to play some one-on-one.

I couldn't believe what was happening. I was hitting most of my shots (even from 3-point range!), dominating the boards, and playing good defense...and Bri was missing almost all of his shots. I was using my size to my advantage, posting up close to the basket before taking my shot, and he couldn't stop me. And I was able to steal the ball from him three times as well. I won 11-1.

Bri started playing much harder in the second game, and I slowed down a bit due to exhaustion, so he took the second game 12-10. By the third game I was completely exhausted and hardly played any defense at all, and my shots stopped going in, so I lost 11-4. But at least I have the satisfaction of backing up my smak for one game. ;)
